Autumn Orange

Ingredients:

1/3 cup whiskey ( preferred orange flavored Jim Beam)

1/3 cup orange juice

3-4 tbsp five spice syrup - recipe follows

SIMPLE SYRUP

1 cup sugar

1 cup water

1 tbsp Chinese five spice.

Directions:

  1. Dissolve sugar, water and five spice in a pot.

  2. Reduce for 5 to 7 minutes on low heat.

  3. Make simple syrup.

  4. Add five spice syrup and whiskey to the bottom of a lowball glass.

  5. Stir to incorporate.

  6. Top with orange juice.

  7. Give one final stir.

  8. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or star anise.


For Apple Lovers:

Ingredients:

1/3 cup whiskey ( preferred apple flavored Jack Daniels)

1/3 cup honey crisp apple juice

3-4 tbsp five spice syrup - recipe follows

  2. Reduce for 5 to 7 minutes on low heat.
