Boba Explosion

Ingredients:

20 strawberries fresh or frozen (10 fresh and 10 frozen recommended)

9 shots unflavored moonshine

2 shots kiwi boba liquid

2 tbsp honey or agave

½ lemon

ice

strawberry honey mixture - recipe follows

2 packets strawberry Pop Rocks

1 tbsp kiwi boba pearls – preferred Bossen Bursting Boba


note: for the drink: you may substitute the strawberries with frozen strawberry filling

for the rim: if strawberries are a little bitter, add more honey to desired taste


STRAWBERRY HONEY MIXTURE

1 fresh strawberry

1 tbsp honey


FOR THE RIM

Strawberry honey mixture

2 pack of Pop Rocks


Gadgets:

blender

Boba straws

double-ended measuring cup


Directions:

  1. In a blender, process the strawberries, moonshine, kiwi boba liquid, 1 tbsp honey, juice of the lemon and ice.

  2. Once mixture is lightly frothy, set aside and prepare glass.

  3. Make slurry of fresh strawberry and honey in a bowl. Add more honey, if needed.

  4. In a separate bowl, place the Pop Rocks.

  5. Rub the rim of the glass in the strawberry honey mixture.

  6. Dip in the Pop Rocks until rim is well coated.

  7. Add a tablespoon of boba pearls to bottom of glass.

  8. Pour blended mixture over the boba pearls.

  9. Serve immediately.


Mixed in the lab:

Three steps on how to enjoy this fun and exciting drink as a shot or cocktail! Keep in mind, if you choose to drink this as a cocktail, remember the shots of moonshine, so sip cautiously!

  1. Lick the pop rocks from the rim and let them explode in mouth.

  2. If shot, take the shot and enjoy the combination of the bursting and popping sensations.

  3. If preference is cocktail, add boba straw to tall glass and sip.

  4. Whatever pearls are left, top off with more of the moonshine mixture and go for it again.

Prepare for non-stop laughter as you enjoy this out of world experience! It's literally like fireworks in your mouth!
