Ingredients:

4.5 oz sweetened lime juice

7 oz tequila (reposado)

2 oz triple sec

1/2 cup sorbet lemon/mango

ice

lime

Tajin/margarita salt

Directions:

For Lemon Sorbet Lovers

  1. In a blender, process lime juice, tequila, triple sec, sorbet, and ice until smooth.

  2. Rub the rim of chilled margarita glass with lime, then dip in a saucer of margarita salt.

  3. Pour mixture from blender into glass and follow with a scoop of sorbet.

  4. Garnish with lime wedge.

For Mango Sorbet Lovers

  1. In a blender, process lime juice, tequila, triple sec, sorbet and ice until smooth.

  2. Rub the rim of chilled margarita glass with lime, then dip in a saucer of Tajin.

  3. Pour mixture from blender into glass and follow with a scoop of sorbet.

  4. Garnish with mango.

Twist:

One of the earliest accounts of the origin of the Margarita stems from Carlos "Danny" Herrera, a restaurant owner, who created the cocktail for a customer who was allergic to many spirits except for tequila. That customer was former Ziegfeld dancer, Marjorie King. The addition of the sorbet makes our twist slightly different from the classic combination of tequila and triple sec and is guaranteed to have you on cloud nine. We are certain that margarita lovers will put this at the top of their list.
